We welcome you and your child/children to St. Barbara Parish! Baptism is the sacrament that signifies our immersion in the Christian life and marks our spiritual rebirth in the Church. Through baptism we receive a new spiritual life, the dignity of adoption as sons and daughters of God and heirs of God’s kingdom.
Infant Baptism, (birth to 6 years of age) in the Catholic tradition, is a Sacrament (“sacred moment”) of Initiation. This means parents or guardians are introducing their child to a faith community and asking that community to welcome that child. For children over the age of 6, as well as teens and adults, please contact the Parish about our RCIC (Rite of Christian Initiation for Children) and RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) programs.
Infant Baptisms at the Parish take place on the first Sunday of the month at 12:30pm (after the 11am Mass).
We ask that you register as members of the Parish if you have not already done so. Please contact the parish office at 805/682-4151 x102 for more information.
