Ushers greet people at the doorway and escort them to seats, being alert to those with special needs, assist with the collection, hand out the parish bulletin, and clean up the pews after each Mass. Ushers serve at two to three Masses per month and attend periodic workshops and retreats revolving around this ministry.

Plan and execute the environment for the church for weekends and other special liturgies. There is a monthly planning meeting and periodic flower purchasing and arranging involved.

The Saint Barbara Parish Guardian Angels ministry offers the opportunity for parishioner to volunteer their time so that visitors and parishioners may pray and meditate in the Porziuncola Chapel, which houses the Blessed Sacrament. The role of the Angels is to welcome visitors in a friendly and helpful manner, and to make sure no one damages the Chapel or disturbs people praying.

Porziuncola Chapel Hours are Tues/Wed/Thurs in three shifts-1:00-2:00pm, 2:00-3:00pm, 3:00-4:00pm
